It recently got reported that the studio company for The Hunger Games, Lionsgate, ultimately selected its top-pick for director on the book-to-film project. It's being said that Gary Ross - best known for his work on Seabiscuit, Pleasantville and Dave - is in talks with the studio, ya know, negotiating and scheduling and all that jazz, right now. Nothing has yet been confirmed, but we hear that Ross is the leading the pack of considered directors, which has previously included David Slade, Sam Mendes, Andrew Adamson, Rupert Sanders and Suzanna White.
